The KNUST branch of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA), in conjunction with the University Administration, has presented equipment worth about two thousand, five hundred Ghana cedis to the KNUST police station. This was in fulfillment of a promise made by the Vice - Chancellor to the Officer in- charge of the office, Chief Inspector - B. Asirifi Ababio.
The equipment included a Computer and accessories, a Laser Printer and a Box of A-4 paper. The printer and paper were contributed by GAUA, whilst the University provided the rest. The President of the KNUST branch of GAUA, Mr. Solomon Panford said, the gesture was in line with the association's social responsibility initiative. He assured the KNUST police of the association's continued support.
Also present at the occasion were the outgoing Vice- Chancellor, Prof. K.K Adarkwa, in-coming Vice -Chancellor, Prof. W.O Ellis, Mrs. Margaret Gyisi, member, GAUA, Mr. M.K Okrah, member, GAUA, Chief Inspector Kwakye, Sergeant Charles Aduafo,Police Woman Anita Opoku, Police Woman Alice Quansah and Detective Police Woman Stella Addai.
Receiving the equipment, Chief Inspector Asamoah Mensah expressed sincere appreciation to GAUA and the University for the gesture.
